What We’re Looking For: Packers – Preseason Game 3
Here is what I’m looking forward to for Sunday’s exhibition matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
New Stadium Seating
Okay, little to do with the actual team, but we’re going to see how the closed endzone looks for the first time, as this is the first Steelers home game of the 2015 season. There’s also speculation as to how this will affect noise, and also the weather that has plagued kickers at Heinz Field for years. Will it be much ado over nothing?
First Team Offense Part Deux
In their 2nd game against the Jaguars, Ben Roethlisberger and the first team offense carved up Jacksonville’s defense quickly. I wouldn’t mind seeing more of that.
DeAngelo Williams
I like what I see so far. I’d like to see more, as this is a preview of weeks 1 and 2 where the team will be without Le’Veon Bell.
Dri Archer
Ditto for Archer, who actually threw a wicked block at a much larger linebacker in the Jacksonville game: something critiques have been all over the smaller RB about, and something that shows Dri might have more surprises for us.
Mike Mitchell & Dan McCullers
Hampered by injuries, these two players are critical to the success of this year’s defense. I’m looking forward to seeing them eased back into the rotation and how they respond.
Garrett Hartley
I still want to see more. A lot of teams are toying with the option of going for 2, due to the new PAT rules, but we need to know if Hartley can handle the kicking duties at Heinz. Sunday will be his first opportunity.
