This is part of an ongoing 8-part series where the Steel City Underground team takes their stab at predicting the 2016 NFL season.
This edition focuses on the NFC East.

Most of the SCU team thinks the New York Giants rebound this season, while everyone thinks the Eagles are the worst team in the division.
Here are the individual comments on each set of picks:
Brian
Is it possible to vote that no team wins a division? The once mighty NFC East is not what it used to be.
I’m picking the Giants simply because I have to pick someone. I am not sold on Kirk Cousins, nor am I sold on Dak Prescott. I’m tempted to bump the Cowboys up a notch because of Ezekiel Elliot, but I’m not sure that is enough.
The Eagles have, well nothing anymore, except maybe a serviceable tight end and some decent D-Line guys. I won’t be surprised if the winner of this division is sub-500.
Maybe a 4 way tie at 2-14?
Terry
1.Redskins- I think the chemistry between Cousins and Jordan Reed will continue and that will be their saving grace (9-7)
2. Giants their schedule could be their downfall but they will also go 9-7 so they may inch out Washington for the top spot.
3. Flip a coin here. Dallas. But Dak Prescott will stay healthy so that Mark Sanchez never has to see the field. I’m not sure why Romo isn’t on the IR but he needs to think of his family now and retire. (6-10)
4. Eagles because everyone left and we can’t even name a player?? Who is the coach again? (2-14)
Joe
This is a tough division to predict, but I’m going to go with the team that has the proven quarterback. I felt Dallas had enough talent to win, but they continue to hit roadblocks along the way, whether it’s injuries (Tony Romo) or some other off-field distraction.
The Giants spent a boatload of money to fix their defense: the question is whether it will pay off or not. Their offensive line is still a work in progress, however, the return of Victor Cruz and addition of Sterling Cooper, in addition to Odell Beckham Jr. provide a very potent offense that should keep that side of the scoreboard in check
Jay Gruden is still the best choice as a head coach with the Redskins, but I still can’t fathom this team being consistent enough to win the division. They could moonlight as a .500 ball club, but I don’t expect much from them. Losing Alfred Morris is a huge blow to their team.
