SCU Madden Sim: Week 4 – Steelers vs Chiefs

Each week we’ve been running a Steelers simulation in Madden 17 on Playstation 4. Last week the results were unfortunately true for the Steelers fell to the Eagles as the simulation predicted. It’s a whole new week though.

If Madden holds any semblance of truth (which it really doesn’t) then the fact that the Steelers won the simulation is a great omen.

Now lets recap the highlights from this weeks sim.

Coates Continues as Deep Threat

Sammie Coates scoring a 58 yard touchdown shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody. He’s been the teams primary deep threat all season and has been getting at least one deep ball per game. With Eli Rogers out this week, we can expect even more opportunities for the young wide receiver.

AB Takes It To The House

In this play Antonio Brown scores on a 51 yard screen pass. This is certainly believable because Todd Haley loves calling those sorts of plays. It’s also believable because Brown is the type of player who is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball.  Brown is going to get the ball often, per usual, and he should reach the endzone at least once on Sunday.

Tuitt Takes Down Smith

Stephon Tuitt has had an odd season. He’s certainly played well, but both him and Cam Heyward haven’t been called upon to rush the passer very often this season. Lets hope that changes soon because the Steelers need to find a way to get to the quarterback. Madden must love Tuitt as much as I do because he’s had a splash play in almost all of these Madden sims.

The Juice Is On The Loose

All of Steeler Nation is excited to see Le’Veon Bell back on the field. He’s such an electric runner and his presence will give a needed boost to this offense after last weeks poor performance. We should definitely expect at least one big play for the top-tier back on Sunday. His 59 yard touchdown run in the simulation makes me even more excited (if that’s even possible.)

Tuitt Tattoos Smith for a Safety

Stephon Tuitt with another big moment! In this play he sheds the blocker immediately and gets to Alex Smith for a safety. Madden is indicating Tuitt is going to have a big game this week; let’s hope its telling the truth!

William Gay Jumps The Route For an INT

William Gay is a fan-favorite in Pittsburgh and he shows why with this fantastic interception. Gay is one of the most reliable players on this defense, and though he doesn’t play loud and flashy like Richard Sherman or Josh Norman, he is certainly capable of coming up with big plays.
