SCU Madden Sim: Week 6 – Steelers vs Dolphins
Here’s your weekly dose of video game accuracy! We don’t need a video game to tell us the Steelers are going to beat the Dolphins. Some label it as a trap game, but if the Steelers continue to play like they did last week, they should have no problem bringing home the W.
Madden sims aren’t always accurate, but they’re fun. It’s been correct all year (including the loss against the Eagles) so lets hope the streak continues.

Bell Breaks One
Le’Veon Bell has been near unstoppable so far this year, both running and catching the ball. Joe Kuzma even wrote this week how Bell is the Steelers 2nd best receiver on the team. Considering how weak the Dolphins defense has been so far this year, nothing is likely to change this week.
Coates Deep Threat Continues
Sammie Coates so far this season has been everything we’ve wanted him to be. He’s leading the league with 6 40+ yard receptions and is averaging 22.2 yards per catch. It’s also pretty common nowadays seeing people tweet “Martavis who?” Not sure If I want to start yelling that yet, but at this point i’ll be more surprised if he doesn’t catch a deep ball this week.
Don’t Cross The Moats!
It was reported Friday morning by Jim Wexell that Anthony Chickillo will be starting over Arthur Moats this week. Because of the Steelers OLB rotation however, Moats will likely get plenty of playing time. Though his real like production hasn’t matched his Madden production thus far, Moats is still due for another sack one of these weeks. The Dolphins haven’t done a great job protecting Ryan Tannehill this year, so this could easily be his week!
Bell Busts Loose Again
Like his catch earlier, this play should come as no surprise. The Dolphins rank dead last in run defense in the NFL – giving up an average of 150.8 yards a game as well as 36 rushing attempts a game. Bell should have no issue running all over the field on Sunday.
Ben Finds Wide Open Grimble For The TD
While the Steelers wait for Ladarius Green to return, they’ve been using all of their tight ends in action. Grimble has impressed in his limited playing time, with his highlight being his athletic touchdown grab versus the Bengals. With Markus Wheaton and Sammie Coates both questionable, it is certainly possible that Grimble gets more work, especially in the redzone. I wouldn’t bet on him scoring, but I also won’t be surprised if he does.
