SCU Madden Sim: Week 11 – Steelers vs Browns
This is the it, this is where the Steelers finally break their losing streak. After weeks of disappointment this team is in a perfect spot to redeem themselves. The Steelers are playing the Browns in Cleveland this week and the weather is showing a chance of snow.
Will the sloppy weather effect the Steelers? Will the Browns continue their perfect season? Will the game end up being a shootout? Let’s see what our simulation had to say!

Kickoff returned for a touchdown
Steelers special teams play has been a little rough recently. We’ve seen a botched onside kick, a blocked punt, and our kick returns never seem to go anywhere. A kick return touchdown would invigorate this unit and give the team a lot of momentum.
Sit down dawg pound!
Madden sure loves giving Sammie Coates touchdowns! Coates has been dealing with some broken fingers as of recently, which explains his lack of production over the last few weeks. Coates practiced in full this week, so hopefully he can go back to producing. The Steelers #2 receiver spot is wide open and Coates is in the perfect opportunity to take it.
Duel threat scores again!
Le’Veon Bell scored a receiving touchdown last week and it would be no surprise to see it happen again. Bell is one of the most versatile backs in the league and is a threat to score either on the ground or in the air. Being the 2nd best receiver on this team, look for Ben to target Bell a lot.
Nix bulldozes into the endzone
We haven’t seen much of Roosevelt Nix this season unfortunately. I was able to attend training camp this season and there Nix got opportunities to show off his hands and athleticism. We haven’t seen it yet, but it would be pretty cool seeing Nix line up as a receiver and score.
Mathews steps up
Cam Heywards injury really hurts this defense. This team now needs Ricardo Mathews to step up and help this defense. He showed he could be a solid player in the preseason, so hopefully he comes out Sunday and impresses.
