SCU’s 2017 NFL Pick’em: Week 7
Each week a panel of SCU contributors will pick their winners and losers. Let’s see who does the best by the end of the season!
The unpredictable NFL strikes again!
Last week, Jimmy ran away with a 10-4 weekly win, however, that’s not why his picks were impressive. He missed the deadline and we had a rule in place to give him whoever misses the cut the “worst” picks for the game. This was decided by the viewing the lowest vote-getter for each of the ESPN Weekly Pick’Em polls.
So in other words, “Jimmy” mostly went against the grain and still picked up ten wins last weekend! (His losses were the Jets, Browns, 49ers, and Colts… which didn’t work out so bad!)
Everyone else struggled, with the next tier of picks getting eight wins and everyone else doing .500 or lower. (That’s what some of you get for picking against the Steelers!)
This week our panel looks to rebound with a few unanimous choices. Everyone has finally given up on the Cleveland Browns for good. Almost no one thinks the New York Giants can duplicate their success from last week against a strong Denver Broncos defense this week against another strong Seattle Seahawks defense.
And not one soul is choosing the Bengals over the Steelers this weekend.

Current Standings
Jimmy jumped up the leaderboard with his second ten-win, albeit automated, victory last week. Joe remains one game behind in second place behind Mike Drakulich, while Brian falls four games back, down to a three-way tie for fourth.
No one is below .500 yet, but with another bad week, several of our contributors are close to not making the cut next week.
