Strengths
Very pure pocket passer. Perfect mechanics and footwork that is way more advanced than most quarterback prospects. Has worked under center a lot which is good for his chances in the league. Isn’t the most mobile but can move around in the pocket well. Even with his bad offensive line, he kept his eyes downfield instead of staring at the rush. Pretty much the reason UCLA was competitive in most of their games. Terrific back shoulder thrower and is good in the red zone. Made his receivers better. Will make a front office love him as a player. Super intelligent kid.
Weaknesses
Even with added weight he still looks pretty slim and he’s not that mobile either. Has a long track of injuries going back to his high school days. Very outspoken guy off the field and will make some front offices mad. Very love or hate type of prospect. His reads can be inconsistent and can try to force things too much. Tries too often to make the big play instead of looking to his safety option or just throwing it away.
NFL Team Fits
Browns, Giants, Jets, Broncos, Bills, Cardinals, Chargers
Summary
Rosen is one of the best quarterback prospects in the last few years, but he has his headaches. If you look past some of the off the field things he is an out of this world talent. He is as pure of a quarterback prospect I’ve seen in a while.
