Plays of the Year: Ben to JuJu… 97 yards to the house!
Steel City Underground presents “Plays of the Year” featuring the tops runs, catches, hits and everything else in-between from the Pittsburgh Steelers 2018 season.
Fans looking for a silver lining in the Antonio Brown trade need to look no further than the Steelers new number one receiver: JuJu Smith-Schuster.
After a career-high sophomore season, JuJu looks to improve on his best in 2019… however, it will be hard to top a feat he’s now accomplished twice!
That feat occurred during a feeble effort to defeat the Denver Broncos last season. After tying the game with a trick play at half, the Steelers offense somewhat sputtered again before finding their feet in the third quarter: Ben Roethlisberger would find JuJu Smith-Schuster on a pass that ended in a 97-yard touchdown.
With a defender in his face, Big Ben somehow lofts a ball downfield that finds one of his favorite receivers for an uncanny franchise stat.
#Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (@_BigBen7) connects with WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (@TeamJuJu) on a 97-yard touchdown… AGAIN.
It matches their 97-yard touchdown connection on Oct. 29, 2017 at Detroit as the longest pass play in franchise history.
