Superbowl MVP Santonio Holmes tackles bowling for a good cause
Superbowl XLIII MVP Santonio Holmes is among football royalty, but his family has always come first, especially since his son, TJ, was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease at birth. Since 2011, Santonio and the The III and Long Foundation, has been dedicated to building awareness about the disease through programs, merchandise, and fundraising events that support families and raise funding for research. On October 10th it is Pittsburgh’s turn to show support.
The black and gold’s former #10 will host the Strikes Against Sickle Cell
Bowlathon at the AMF Noble Manor Lanes on 10-10 starting at 6:30 p.m. Athlete friends and Pittsburgh celebrities joining Santonio in the lanes will be Martavis Bryant, Keion Adams, Arthur Moats, Mel Blount, Louie Lipps, Roosevelt Nix, Ramon Foster, Josh Dobbs, Josh Miller, Colin Dunlap and Andrew Fillipponi from The FAN, Elista and Bubba from 100.7 and David Alan from David Alan Clothing. Each celeb will join our teams of six bowlers for a night of bowling and mingling that includes refreshments, a tee shirt, and a photo to prove it.
