SCU’s 2017 NFL Pick’em: Week 11
Each week a panel of SCU contributors will pick their winners and losers. Let’s see who does the best by the end of the season!
As the temperature falls outside, things heat up in the SCU Pick’em group!
Last week included some bold picks which strayed from the pack. Tina Rivers was the only one to nail a Packers win over the Bears, while Joe Kuzma picked the 49ers to beat the New York Giants for their first win of the season. Zac Celedonia also correctly took the Bucs over the Jets but missed on Cleveland, who still remains winless after a Lions comeback win.
Some other games were a little easier to predict. The Seahawks, Titans, Steelers, and Rams were all clean sweeps, while the majority hit on the Patriots, Jags, and Panthers to walk out with wins as well.
This week appears to fall into a similar category with our panel unanimously choosing the Steelers over the Titans, the Jaguars over the Browns, and the Saints over the Redskins. (Seriously, I don’t think anyone’s taking the Browns ever again!)
There’s a little disparity over games that appear to be even, including two new quarterbacks playing for each side of the Bills and Chargers, plus a down Denver team hosting the Bengals. Can the Raiders overcome the Patriots in Mexico City, and what do the Eagles do with the Cowboys?
All of those answers are TBD, however, looking back at last week, everyone hit on at least eight games, which has made the standings a little tighter! Mike Drakulich still remains in the lead, but now only one game over Joe Kuzma, with several others within reach.
