The 5: Steelers to watch in season finale versus Ravens
Well folks, the finale is upon us. After the emotional win against the Cleveland Browns, the Pittsburgh Steelers have one game left to try to get themselves into the playoffs. In pure poetic fashion, it would be the Baltimore Ravens they have to beat for a shot at the postseason. Look for these big names to make the big plays one last time.
T.J. Watt
All the eyes of the league will be on the best defender in the league in T.J. Watt. He will be playing his hardest to chase down the single-season sack record. The man has been dominating all season long so expect him to continue this against a struggling Ravens offense. The question is how long will it take Watt to make history?
Ben Roethlisberger
Don’t lie, most of us shed some tears at the end of last week’s game. We are witnessing the end of a legendary era, and I expect Big Ben to try and make some noise in the very stadium where he took over for Tommy Maddox, 18 years ago. He will be slinging it all over the field for us fans. I hope we get to enjoy the Roethlisberger magic one last time. Thank you, Ben!
Ahkello Witherspoon
One of the surprising stars in the making in the Steelers’ defensive secondary, Witherspoon has been making his presence known more and more. Since he will become a free agent after the season, look for him to play his tail off to convince the Steelers to re-sign him. Hopefully they do. I predict at least one more “pick” this week for the team’s current interception leader.
Najee Harris
Harris was a man possessed last week. After the best game of his career, I expect him to continue that same domination, this week, against the Ravens. Another 100-yard game with multiple touchdowns is possible. Also, look for him to commit to a few stiff arms, as well.
Chase Claypool
Claypool has been very quiet and inconsistent as of late. We have seen him go up and make amazing catches but then drop them. Claypool can have a big game this week, but he has to want it. We will see what the sophomore receiver brings in Pittsburgh’s final regular season game. I have high hopes for him, so I want to see him succeed.
