In Week 10, the Pittsburgh Steelers were in a tight battle with the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. Following a Packers touchdown in the second quarter, veteran defensive back Patrick Peterson made an outstanding play that gave the Steelers a new level of momentum in the game that resulted in a final score of 23-19.

On 3rd & 16 from the Pittsburgh 35-yard line (4:14, 2nd Q), Jordan Love threw a pass to Jayden Reed for the touchdown after the Packers had started the drive from their own 13 yard line.

As the ball was snapped for the point-after kick, Peterson was able to dive into the backfield, stretch, and knock the ball out of the air. The Steelers defense fell on the ball to limit Green Bay to just six points.

Things seemed to swing back into the Steelers’ favor after the splash play. Pittsburgh entered the halftime break up by 17-13. They took the field for the third quarter with a new level of momentum.

As a team, Pittsburgh dug deep to go up 20-19 in the third quarter as Peterson came up big again when he tipped a Love pass into the arms of teammate Keanu Neal for an interception that eliminated Green Bay’s touchdown attempt.

The Steelers never relinquished the lead, posting a 23-19 victory after a fourth quarter stand and another takeaway.
