Independence Day in the United States of America has been a cherished holiday and memorial of freedom and independence. In Pittsburgh Steelers history, there have been numerous members of the organization who have served the country in various forms. One man, though, that comes to NFL and Steelers fans’ minds often is Rocky Bleier.

Brian E. Roach and Christina Rivers sat down with Bleier in 2020 to talk about his service to the United States and his incredible story of comeback contained in his re-released book, “Fighting Back.”

After his playing career, Bleier became an advocate for American veterans among other pursuits.
